If the shoe (message?) fits…

example MEI have often found myself being both an example AND a warning!

And here’s some other fun quotes I found that applied to me.
You might find they apply to you, too!

Ouch! I’m sure I’m not the only one who has experienced the missed moment, the words that shouldn’t have been said, and the time wasted.

3 things

Do you think we should bend like the willow tree or stand firm like the redwood?

And is the risk of remaining tight in our past more painful than opening up to life?

And being first, as this quote states, is VERY desirable!

I’m sure I find myself in good company when caught in the dichotomy below! informed or sane

And you know I can’t do one of these posts without including one about chocolate, so here it is!

(Let me know your favorite!)

The Anais Nin quote is always one of my favorites, but like you, I also love the ones about chocolate.

    • Pat says:

Sandy, change AND chocolate?! Yep, me too. The chocolate helps me with accepting the change.

Of course, the stubborn rebel in me prompts me to be a terrible warning. Being a good example is so boring.
As for trees, I love them all. There are times to bend like a willow and times to stand firm like a redwood or an oak.
As for shoes, don’t like them. I go barefoot whenever I can, especially at home. Sometimes I have to wear socks or slippers to keep my feet warm but otherwise bare feet.

Mary Kay, love your comments! And I agree with you about the necessity of being both strong AND flexible.

I agree with Mary Kay. Depends on the situation, perhaps my mood, maybe the person involved. I may feel really good standing firm; another day I feel like a willow, bending low to let the storm pass me by. Either way chocolate is my buddy.

Meg, it’s a wonderful gift, chocolate, that enables us to do what we need to do!

      • Meg Chaffin says:

It must be a wonderful thing if I crave it, and it makes me feel so good to have CHOCOLATE.

        • Pat says:

Meg, you don’t think chocolate is an addiction, do you? Or maybe it’s an acceptable one? There sure are a lot of us who love and use chocolate as a mood stabilizer? elevator?
Oh well, life is too short not to enjoy the chocolate when it comes our way and to even seek it out!
