A new season and new day!

happy fall“September” is such an invigorating idea! (and it’s especially an invigorating month!)

It’s back to school and new projects! It’s unofficially the beginning of fall! And though fall is really only 3 months long, that’s plenty of time to look at the “clean slate” that it provides.

I invite you to join me and stop “doing” for a moment and reflect on what it is that you really want

  • to be,
  • to do,
  • to have for this fall season.

It’s a marvelous opportunity to

  •  reflect,
  •  re-imagine,
  •  restore and
  •  rejuvenate.

It’s harvest time! Reflecting on the bounty just by taking a walk through the Farmer’s Market yesterday morning restored my appreciation for the life we’ve been given and the gifts we have received.

Life has been good. Life IS good. And sometimes we just need a nudge to remember to give thanks for it!ziggy

So  what are you grateful for? Family and friendship? Health and wellness? Learning and opportunities? Having a home and enough food? The beauty of nature? Books and music? Time and energy?

I know that I’ve been blessed with family and friends to love, folks to share with, ideas and beliefs to explore, resources beyond measure, as well as opportunities to contribute to the well-being of others.

What about you?

And, once we are aware of the gifts we’ve been blessed with, we can turn our attention to how best to share them.

Is there someone you can call? that you can take the time to really listen to?

Is there something you can contribute from your talent, time, or treasure to a worthy cause?

Your “homework,” if you choose to accept it is to:

  1. Choose a goal.
  2. Feel what it will feel like when you accomplish it.
  3. Decide the first step, even if tiny, and take it!

For myself,

  1. I’m choosing to express more creativity in my life.tiny step I will write my weekly blog and my monthly three newsletters for folks.
  2. As I grow with the ideas, the information, and the inspiration that comes from my intention, I will feel excited and content with my personal growth and expanded outreach.
  3. And my first step is to commit to an average of a 10 minutes a day, 5 days a week to journaling creative ideas (and that is a tiny step!)

What will you choose to do with your clean slate for fall?
