Why your June 10th is so important

Posted by Pat on June 10, 2018 in Uncategorized |

Today is June 10th.

In 20 days, 2018 will be halfway over!

That’s crazy, right? It seems like just yesterday we were planning our goals for the year and feeling motivated about the future.

Question for you–what have you accomplished in this near-half-year? Have you achieved what you set out to achieve? Made a dent in the progress? (If so, please go ahead and pat yourself on the back right now!)

Or… did you, like so many of us, fall short and succumb to procrastination?

No matter!

The message today is the same for us all!

We can each commit right now to starting a new motivated chapter in our lives. Sending this message on this random day of the year, June 10th, is to remind us that …….

it can be easy to read motivational emails week after week without acting. Inspiration can only take us so far. Eventually we’re going to have to do something and what better time than now?

Here’s what we can do:

Step 1-write down (not just think about it) what we had set out to achieve at the beginning of the year, what progress we’ve made up to this point, and our reasons why we have or haven’t made enough progress.

Step 2-choose one “mini-goal” we can commit to today and one slightly later goal we want to knock off this week.

I think doing this starting for summer is even better than starting on New Year’s Day because we aren’t waiting for some arbitrary day to get started!

Are you ready?

The beginning of the rest of your life can start today-right now. Just pick one domino to knock over and soon others will fall.

After all, today is the only day we can be sure of!

Amen Sister! Each step along the way is important and takes us a bit closer to the “goal.” I am packing a box or two everyday. Today I finished washing and packing all my blankets and quilts (took me 3 days at the laundromat). I will be ready to move the day my house sells. Where am I going? Only Spirit knows for sure!
